Eligibility Criteria
- With M.Tech/M.E/M.Des.: Minimum 60% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA (Relaxation: 55%/5.5 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD).
- With M.Sc./M.A./MBA/MBBS: Minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA + valid GATE/CSIR NET/JRF qualification.
- With B.Tech/B.E: Minimum 70% aggregate or 7.0 CGPA + valid GATE/JRF.
- Candidates from CFTIs (IITs, NITs, IIITs) with a CGPA ≥8.0 are exempted from GATE.

1. Can final-year students apply?
Yes. Final semester students can apply, provided they complete all requirements before registration.
2. How many times a year are applications invited?

3. Is financial assistance available?
Yes. Full-time Ph.D. students receive a monthly assistantship of ₹37,000 (first 2 years) and ₹42,000 (next 3 years).
